  Rare tin package for carbol tooth powder
description: The lid of this tin from about 1920 shows a picture of the Greek mythology.On the left side Aesculapius with his staf, for ages the symbol for doctors. On the right side his daughter Hygieia, deity of health. They point to a portrait of his other daughter, Panacea, deity of medicine. The (Dutch) text on the lid reads: "Patria's carbol tooth powder provides everybody who uses this with a fine set of teeth". The lid bears the signitures from Chemiker M. de Jong and the manufacturer Patria. The tin has a mirror inside.
